STAY...
Selina
The place was bit soulless but none the less quirky, we stayed in some little tippies. Although they looked pretty cool on pictures, the sleeping experience wasn’t very pleasant.
The nicest thing about Selling is the pool, it’s big and set in sun trap. Somedays a masseuse also offers services to hosts as well. We couldn’t say no to a $5 head massage! The food here isn’t great but Machete is only down the road and serves delicious meals during the day and one one night a week on Fridays.

DO...
Surf, surf & surf…
You’ve read it, there isn’t much more to do here but surf or perhaps hang out on the beach and watch people surfing! You can rent boards on the main playa and book lesson there as well or directly with your accommodation. There’s plenty of people offering lessons in San Juan del Sur as well.
EAT & DRINK...
Machete
Once you go to Machete you can’t help but go back over and over again. This cafe serves the most delicious food using all organic products. It’s got veggie and vegan options as well. On site, you’ll also find a little supermarket and a rack selling vintage clothes, I got myself a floral shirt as a souvenir! They are only open during the day apart from Friday eve where they host a banging pizza nights, with live bands. Their pizzas a re cooked in a wood fire oven and their dough is divine! Possibly one of the best pizzas I’ve had, EVER!
