This once upon a time extremely dangerous city has now the greatest urban lifestyle Colombia has to offer!

  • Poblano is the hip area where you’ll find lots of nice brunch spot, designer shops along with great bars where you can dance and drink till dawn!

  • The walking tour, booking is essential has there is limited availability each day. It’s a good thing though because that means you don’t end up in one of those walking tours with hundreds of people, feeling like a cow in a cattle.,

  • Get up the cable cars, the views of the city are priceless.

  • Take the comuna 13 escalators to the colombian ‘favelas’. Once a very dangerous area of Medellin, this area which has been pimped up with Art murals is a great little tourist attractions.

  • Get cultured at the museum of modern art. It’s a great piece of architecture too and worth the visit if you are short on things to do.

  • Got to the Science museum. This newly built is an impressive museum with lots of interactive displays. You could spend the entire day there so it’s great to visit on a rainy day!

  • Go to a football game (you can buy tickets at the local supermarket EXITO). People go mad for their footy here, the atmosphere is unique with people chanting their local hymns.

  • Have at the trendy coffeeshop Pergomino and buy a bag of beans from there to bring home with you!

  • Eat at the veggie restaurant Verdeo,  the food is delish and their lunch deal is great value for money.
